About

This is an MCP connector that gives the Sazabi agent tools from DeepWiki's official hosted MCP server (mcp.deepwiki.com/mcp). DeepWiki indexes public GitHub repositories and answers questions about their code and generated documentation. The server exposes three read-only tools: read_wiki_structure (list a repository's documentation topics), read_wiki_contents (fetch a repository's generated wiki), and ask_question (ask a natural-language question about a repository). No authentication is required because the server only serves documentation for public repositories.

What the agent can do:

  • List a public repository's documentation topics and structure
  • Fetch generated wiki content for open-source projects
  • Ask natural-language questions about third-party OSS code and architecture

Prerequisites

  • None. The DeepWiki MCP server is public and requires no authentication.

Set up in the dashboard

Configure connectors in the dashboard under Settings > MCP connectors.

Connect

This connector needs no credentials; connect it directly.

Set up with the CLI

DeepWiki's hosted MCP server requires no credentials, so the Sazabi CLI (installed and authenticated — see sazabi mcp-connectors reference) adds the connector in one command:

sazabi mcp-connectors connect deepwiki

The CLI contacts the MCP server at once and prints the connection with the tools it discovered. Find the connection ID later with sazabi mcp-connectors list.

Verify

Open the connector's connection page under Settings > MCP connectors and confirm Sazabi lists the tools it discovered. Then, in a thread, ask the agent to look up documentation for a public GitHub repository and confirm it returns results.

Troubleshooting

No tools discovered — Disconnect and reconnect. The DeepWiki server requires no credentials, so a missing tool list indicates a connection or discovery problem; try reconnecting.

Connection shows needs attention — Reconnect from Settings > MCP connectors.
