# Autumn

> Give the Sazabi agent tools to inspect and manage your billing and pricing — customers, plans, features, balances, usage, and subscriptions — from agent conversations.

## About

Autumn is an MCP connector that gives the Sazabi agent tools to inspect and manage your billing and pricing. Autumn is a pricing and billing layer built on top of Stripe. Autumn hosts an MCP server at `https://mcp.useautumn.com/mcp` that authenticates with an Autumn secret key. Sazabi stores your key securely and sends it as `Authorization: Bearer <key>` to Autumn's MCP endpoint. Autumn's write tools front a preview/approval flow, and write operations are additionally governed by the per-connection read-only toggle.

**What the agent can do:**

* Look up customers, their plans, features, and balances
* Read the pricing catalog: plans, features, credits, and usage limits
* Check and track feature usage and entitlements
* Preview and manage subscriptions, schedules, and billing changes

## Prerequisites

* An Autumn account with a secret key (`am_sk_...`) from the [Autumn dashboard](https://app.useautumn.com) under **Developer > API Keys**
* Use a sandbox key to explore or a production key for live billing data

## Set up in the dashboard

Configure connectors in the dashboard under [**Settings > MCP connectors**](https://app.sazabi.com/settings/mcp-connectors).

**Step 1**

### Open the connector

Find Autumn in [**Settings > MCP connectors**](https://app.sazabi.com/settings/mcp-connectors).

**Step 2**

### Add your key

Paste your Autumn secret key (`am_sk_...`). Sazabi sends it as the `Authorization: Bearer <key>` header to Autumn's hosted MCP endpoint. Create or copy a key from the [Autumn dashboard](https://app.useautumn.com) under **Developer > API Keys**.

## Set up with the CLI

Autumn authenticates with an Autumn secret key. With the [Sazabi CLI](https://docs.sazabi.com/reference/cli.md) installed and authenticated (see [`sazabi mcp-connectors` reference](https://docs.sazabi.com/reference/cli/mcp-connectors)), connect it in one command, passing the credential as a header:

```

The CLI connects to the MCP server at once and prints the connection with the tools it discovered; a credential the server rejects is reported, and the connection is left needing attention. Use `NAME=@<file>` to read a value from a file, or `--header-file <file.json>` for a JSON object of header names and values. To rotate the stored credentials later, use `sazabi mcp-connectors update-credentials <connection-id>`; find the connection ID with `sazabi mcp-connectors list`.

## Verify

Open the connector's connection page under [**Settings > MCP connectors**](https://app.sazabi.com/settings/mcp-connectors) and confirm Sazabi lists the tools it discovered. Then, in a thread, ask the agent to use one of those tools and confirm it runs. If no tools appear, confirm the key is correct.

## Troubleshooting

**No tools discovered** — Check that the secret key is valid and was copied correctly from **Developer > API Keys** in the Autumn dashboard.

**Connection shows needs attention** — The key may have expired or been revoked; reconnect from [**Settings > MCP connectors**](https://app.sazabi.com/settings/mcp-connectors).
