# Daytona

> Set your Sazabi intake URL as the OTLP endpoint in Daytona organization settings to stream logs and traces from every sandbox in the organization.

[All Daytona integration capabilities](https://docs.sazabi.com/catalogs/integrations/daytona)

## About

Stream OTLP logs and traces from every Daytona sandbox in your organization to Sazabi by setting one endpoint at the organization level. There is no per-sandbox configuration — all sandboxes in the organization begin exporting on their next start.

Sazabi retains your Daytona telemetry beyond Daytona's own 3-day window, so you can query sandbox activity from weeks or months ago. Sandbox records include resource attributes like `daytona_organization_id`, `daytona_region_id`, and `daytona_snapshot`.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Daytona metrics are not stored by Sazabi. Only logs and traces are ingested.

## Prerequisites

* Daytona organization **owner** access. The OpenTelemetry settings card is only visible to owners.
* Your Sazabi intake URL, shown above — open the log source and copy the **Intake URL** from its setup screen (the public key is embedded in the URL)

## Set up in the dashboard

**Step 1**

### Open organization settings in Daytona

Go to your Daytona dashboard and navigate to your organization's **Settings**. Look for the **OpenTelemetry** card. This card is only visible to organization owners.

**Step 2**

### Set the OTLP endpoint

In the OpenTelemetry card, set the **OTLP Endpoint** field to your Sazabi intake URL shown above.

**Step 3**

### Save and restart a sandbox

Save the settings. Sandboxes export on their next start — existing running sandboxes begin exporting when they are next restarted.

## Set up with the CLI

You can also register the Daytona log source with the [Sazabi CLI](https://docs.sazabi.com/reference/cli.md) (installed and authenticated — see [CLI reference](https://docs.sazabi.com/reference/cli/log-sources.md)).

Registering the source mints the same intake URL the dashboard shows above (the public key is embedded in its hostname):

```bash theme={"system"}
sazabi log-sources create daytona --mode manual
```

The command prints the intake URL for the new source — copy the whole URL and point your sender at it using the configuration shown above. Run `sazabi log-sources get <log-source-id>` at any time to reprint the endpoint, or `sazabi log-sources list` to see every log source in the project.

## Verify

Start or restart a sandbox in your Daytona organization. Open the [Intake page](https://docs.sazabi.com/guides/instrument/intake.md) in the Sazabi dashboard and confirm logs or traces from the **Daytona** source appear within a minute or two of the sandbox starting.

Start a thread and filter by `daytona_organization_id` or `daytona_snapshot` to view telemetry from a specific sandbox configuration.

## Troubleshooting

**OpenTelemetry card not visible** — The card is only visible to organization owners. Confirm you are viewing organization settings (not project or personal settings) and that your account has owner-level access.

**No telemetry after saving** — Sandboxes that were already running when you saved the settings do not pick up the new endpoint until they are restarted. Start or restart at least one sandbox to confirm the endpoint is working.

**Metrics are not stored** — Daytona metrics sent to Sazabi are not ingested. Only OTLP logs and traces are stored.
